James has nearly 20 years experience in the museum and heritage sector working with collections. He has significant experience of capital projects, working on the NLHF funded Windermere Jetty project and Harris Your Place Project.
He led the decant of The Harris’ collections of fine art, costume, banners, ceramics & glass, social history, numismatics, archaeology, photography and historic books ahead of the capital project to refurbish and redisplay the building. This included the development of ITT documentation for the procurement of specialist movement contractors, the detailed spatial planning of the Harris’ new collections stores and the development of a detailed spec for new collections racking.
He works to SPECTRUM standards of documentation and is an associate of the Museums Association (AMA).
